who we are
Girls and women are an important factor in the development process because of the multiplier effect they can have: many are head of their household and responsible for raising and educating their children. Despite this, they are often sidestepped and do not receive the full benefit of development efforts.
The Foundation for Social and Cultural Advancement is committed to helping underprivileged girls and women around the world live with dignity and build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities. This is done by addressing the needs of the whole woman so that they can truly understand their dignity and live up to their potential.
Foundation SCA aims to achieve this goal on a global scale by partnering with local institutions to address regional needs and engage communal support. Through its programs Foundation SCA was able to reach over 1,600 women and girls in 2009 alone.
